MAJOR WWE RUMOR: WrestleMania 35 Plans LEAKED?! | WrestleTalk News Dec. 2018

30 spots in the men’s and women’s Royal Rumble matches… are likely going to end
with them. Mixed Match Challenge Finals
Because in a tournament that started off involving Braun Strowman, Alexa Bliss, Asuka, Finn Balor,
Rusev, AJ Styles, Charlotte Flair, Jeff Hardy and Kevin Owens, the final at this Sunday’s
TLC pay-per-view will be contested between The Fabulous Truth of Carmella and R-Truth
against Raw’s Mahalicia team of Alicia Fox and Jinder Mahal. Go home, WWE – you’re drunk on eggnog. The winning team will, of course, get the
coveted number 30 spots in January’s Royal Rumble matches – an idea I’m pretty sure
was pitched as a joke at WWE’s Christmas party, and Vince McMahon thought it was a
good idea. This week’s Mixed Match Challenge episode
only drew 17,700 viewers on Facebook Watch, a figure so low, some academics dispute whether
the show actually exists. Speaking of things no-one watched last night! SUPER SEGWAY! Naomi Frustrated With WWE SmackDown
While SmackDown delivered on the Charlotte vs Asuka WrestleMania rematch and a tag team
rap battle segment announced the previous week, WWE robbed us of one other hugely anticipated
match advertised in advance: Mandy Rose vs Naomi. The two had been trading insults on Twitter
over the weekend, with Rose pointing out how Asuka has suddenly ditched Naomi as a tag
partner – storytelling! – and Naomi calling Mandy “bootleg Eva Marie”. Paige then announced on Monday the two would
have a match on last night’s episode of SmackDown – which Naomi was still tweeting
about an hour before the show began – but the match never took place. It turns out some fans had the audacity to
expect WWE to deliver on something they’d promised. And don’t believe me that people actually
cared about seeing a Mandy Rose vs Naomi match? Well just check out Naomi’s Twitter, because
she’s retweeted upwards of 13 people who posted their disappointment. Wow, 2018. Naomi herself then encouraged her fans to
keep speaking out, tweeting: “I’m not sure if my match got cut or if @WWE_MandyRose
just didn’t show regardless I’m over it I’ll let the fans handle this 1 for me #sdlive
✌️” Mandy Rose, meanwhile, explained she had to
go do a last minute photoshoot. CageSideSeats claims the match is now expected
to take place next Tuesday, thank God. Speaking of matches that may or may not happen. Another really good Segway. WrestleMania 35 Plans Revealed? BarnBurner’s No Holds Barred podcast claims
to know the current plans for WrestleMania 35. Not only do they say these are only pencilled
in matches for now, because things can change by April, but No Holds Barred have had a patchy
record of breaking stories in the past, so take these with a pinch of salt. They claim Triple H is still pencilled in
to face Batista, as officials are hoping Hunter can recover from his torn pectoral muscle
in time. Miz and Shane McMahon will compete for the
Best in the World trophy. Rey Mysterio is pencilled in for a United
States title match, but his opponent hasn’t been decided yet. The three names reportedly being discussed
as champion are Shinsuke Nakamura, Samoa Joe or Andrade ‘Cien’ Almas. The two who don’t face Rey will be in the
Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal. Apparently WWE are talking with Rock ‘The
Dwayne’ Johnson about a potential Hall of Fame induction, and possibly a match with
Brock Lesnar if his schedule allows for it. This ties in with previously reported plans
of Johnson winning the Royal Rumble to face Roman Reigns before Roman was diagnosed with
leukemia. If that doesn’t happen, it’ll be Seth
Rollins vs Brock. AJ Styles is supposedly set to face Randy
Orton. And, possibly the most outlandish claim, there
are backstage talks that Daniel Bryan will be taking on Shawn Michaels. A 205 Live star just debuted on SmackDown! Click the video onscreen now to find out what
