NXT Review 5/11/2017

So, for NXT, the first of three things that
I wanna discuss was the announcement by William Regal that in two weeks, at NXT Takeover:
Chicago, it’s gonna be DIY vs The Authors of Pain for the NXT Tag Team Championships
in a ladder match. The match first came about when DIY cut a
promo on Heavy Machinery and the AOP and when they were saying that the line to the number
one contenders starts behind them, a new team, a team of whom I really have no idea who they
are ;it was this new guy named Tino Sabbatelli and his tag team partner, Riddick Moss. They said that they are new to NXT and that
the line for the NXT Tag Team Championships starts behind them. And that was when DIY faced them and beat
them. And after they did, William Regal said that
DIY is right. The line to the NXT Tag Team Championships
does start behind them. And that was when
the AOP and their manager Paul Ellering and accused William Regal of showing favoritism
in the NXT Tag Team Division and said that no matter who the AOP faces. they will destroy them all and just as the
AOP and Paul were leaving, William asked them, “Don’t you want to know what the stipulation
is for the match” And I was like, “Um, what? Stipulation?” And that was when Regal announced the ladder
match at NXT Takeover: Chicago for the NXT Tag Team Championships and the ladder match
definitely benefits the smaller guys of DIY, Johnny Gargano and Tomasso Ciampa. And then the second thing I want to discuss
was the announcement by Ember Moon saying that she was injured last week when Asuka
interfered in the battle royal and threw Ember Moon out of the ring into the guardrail and
injured her shoulder. And because of that injury, unfortunately,
Ember Moon will not be able to compete at NXT Takeover: Chicago for the NXT Women’s
Championship. So, the match which was a fatal 4 way is now
a triple threat match between Asuka, the reigning champion, Ruby Riot and Nikki Cross. And Ember Moon said that while she is injured,
when she comes back, she is gonna be better than ever and I really do believe that. And the main event was Hideo Itami vs Roderick
Strong to see who would challenge Bobby Roode for the NXT Championship at Takeover: Chicago. And I really believed that Hideo would win
and he did, but not before he and Roderick put on one heck of a match, which was to me
the match of the night, even though it was only a weekly WWE Network show and not a pay-per-view And seeing how much of a hard striker Hideo
is, he is sure to give Bobby Roode the fight of his life. That’s all I have for today. I will see you guys tomorrow for Impact Wrestling
and another update on Mr. Mercedes
